Here's some images I produced to test out Rowbyte's Fast Bokeh Pro plugin for After Effects. Like AE's native camera lens blur and frishulft's lenscare, it uses black & white depth mattes to add bokeh effects in post production. The following images were rendered in Cinema 4d using Redshift render engine. Some images with Xparticles.

Using Cinema 4d, I created some rough geo and camera projected a still image to create a depth matte so I could add depth of field in post.
You can use Depthy, a great website tool to use depth information from Android's Google Camera photos.
